Laufey débarquera à Bruxelles le samedi 28 février 2026 avec son nouvel album « A Matter of Time »
Laufey, auteure-compositrice-interprète et multi-instrumentiste islandaise d’origine chinoise, annonce un concert en Belgique à l’occasion de la sortie de son tout nouvel opus « A Matter of Time ». Le samedi 28 février 2026, elle présentera son troisième album à l’ING Arena de Bruxelles. Les billets seront mis en vente à partir du vendredi 12 septembre à 9 heures sur greenhousetalent.com.
Ses chansons délicates sur l’amour et la découverte de soi l’ont rapidement propulsée sur le devant de la scène mondiale. Un véritable phénomène. Son premier EP « Typical of Me » lui a immédiatement valu un tube numéro 1 en Islande. Elle est devenue la plus jeune lauréate d’un Grammy Award dans la catégorie « Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album », totalise 4,25 milliards de streams, figure dans le Billboard Top 20, a été mentionnée dans le « Forbes 30 Under 30 » et le « TIME’s Women of the Year 2025 ».
Laufey impressionne également sur scène : elle a fait salle comble au Hollywood Bowl, au Radio City Music Hall et au Royal Albert Hall, et s’est produite avec le National Symphony Orchestra, le LA Phil et le China Philharmonic Orchestra. Le 28 février 2026, elle fera à nouveau honneur à sa réputation scénique exceptionnelle avec un concert à l’ING Arena de Bruxelles, pour célébrer son tout nouvel album « A Matter of Time ».
A Matter of Time
Sur son troisième album, Laufey se montre sous son jour le plus audacieux et le plus brut. Alors que « Everything I Know About Love » traitait encore du passage à l’âge adulte et que « Bewitched » chantait les joies de l’amour adolescent, elle explore une constellation émotionnelle beaucoup plus large sur « A Matter of Time ». Elle examine l’« amour véritable » sous toutes ses formes et la façon dont il peut alimenter la vulnérabilité et l’incertitude.
En collaboration avec les producteurs Spencer Stewart et Aaron Dessner, Laufey crée sa propre version de la musique pop : toujours ancrée dans le jazz et le classique, mais cette fois-ci affranchie des règles strictes. Cette liberté artistique donne naissance à un son transcendant où elle passe sans effort de l’intensité à la légèreté, de la poésie à la mélancolie, mais toujours avec des compositions sincères qui vous touchent immédiatement au cœur.
Dans « Forget Me Not », une ode à l’idée d’aller de l’avant sans renier ses racines, Laufey chante pour la première fois en islandais, accompagnée par l’Orchestre symphonique islandais avec lequel elle a fait ses débuts en tant que violoncelliste à l’âge de 15 ans.

On her third album, Laufey shows her most daring and raw side. Whereas Everything I Know About Love was about growing up and Bewitched sang the praises of young love, on A Matter of Time she explores a much broader emotional spectrum. She examines “true love” in all its forms, and how it can make you feel vulnerable and insecure.
Together with producers Spencer Stewart and Aaron Dessner, Laufey creates her own version of pop music: still rooted in jazz and classical, but this time free from strict rules. That artistic freedom leads to a transcendent sound in which she effortlessly switches between intense and playful, poetic and melancholic, but always with honest songwriting that touches the heart.
In “Forget Me Not”, an ode to moving forward without letting go of your roots, Laufey sings in Icelandic for the first time, accompanied by the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, with which she made her debut as a fifteen-year-old cellist.

Ze onderzoekt ‘echte liefde’ in al haar vormen, en hoe die je kwetsbaar en onzeker doet voelen.
Samen met producers Spencer Stewart en Aaron Dessner creëert Laufey haar eigen versie van popmuziek: nog steeds geworteld in jazz en klassiek, maar deze keer vrij van strikte regels. Die artistieke vrijheid leidt tot een transcendente sound waarbij ze moeiteloos schakelt tussen intens en speels, poëtisch en melancholisch, maar altijd met eerlijke songwriting die recht in het hart raakt.
